Job Description

Role: Support Worker. Location: Church Road, Ferndown (BH22). Salary: £14.05 - £14.75* per hour. Hours: 35 hours per week. Please note, you are required to hold a Full UK Driving License. Please note we require a Female Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule. About Church Road: Church Road recently opened in Ferndown. At Church Road we provide accommodation and support for up to 8 adults with Acquired Brain Injuries or Neurological Conditions. We will also work closely with people placed on Rehabilitation focused placements supported by Neuro therapists; Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Neuro Psychology, to aid people in their recoveries. Our multidisciplinary team will undertake a thorough assessment prior to any admission, working closely with the individual, their family, carers and other health care professionals to identify their goals and aspirations and create an individually tailored support plan. As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including Providing high standards of care and support for people we support, in line with care and support plans; Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities; Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and working to care plans; Liaise with health professionals and their families; Complete supervisions and audits; To ensure that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home. Job Responsibility

  • Providing high standards of care and support for people we support, in line with care and support plans
  • Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities

Requirements

  • Holding a Full UK Driving License
  • Female over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting
