Job Description:

We're looking for someone special to share their life with a young person living in their family home in Dunscroft, Doncaster. This vibrant individual has a tracheostomy, uses ventilation, and has a PEG feed, but that's just one part of who they are. They're a creative and expressive person who loves having fun and engaging in activities that bring them joy - just like you might with your own children! As their trusted supporter, you'll play a vital role in enhancing their daily life, providing both practical care and emotional connection.

Job Responsibility:

Building a strong, trusting relationship with this young person
Understanding their needs and supporting them to live life to the fullest
Providing personalised care that's tailored to their unique needs
Supporting their physical health, such as tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and ventilation management
Helping with household tasks to create a comfortable and organised living space
Communicating with them in a way that feels natural and respectful
Building a strong bond that enriches their life

Requirements:

Experience in complex care is desirable
A heart for supporting others and a desire to make a positive impact
Caring and empathetic approach
Willingness to have fun
All applicants will be subject to Enhanced DBS checks and referencing
This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1. Due to the nature of the role and the needs of the people we support, we can only accept applications from women for this position.
