We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff & visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned & ad-hoc site patrols together with other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and the emergency services. You will be working an average of 60 hours per week covering days and nights. Shift pattern will be: Mon-Fri; 1 week of days, 1 week of nights. Shift times will be: 0630-1830 or 1830-0630.
Job Responsibility:
Validation and verification of Safe and Secure Security networks
Front of House and Loading Bay duties
Ensuring a duty of care to all on site staff
Security oversight on the delivery of contract work
Observations and near miss reporting including reporting of any incidents
Escorting and supervision when prohibited items are brought on or taken off the floor
Safe and Secure checks (taking over from Security Audit) and receipting
Reporting any breaches of security
Control of the site cameras and booking system incuding conducting CCTV investigations when required or instructed
Maintain all security related documentationfor audit purposes
To respond to emergencies and assist with the evacuation and searching of the buildings by following requires of the site Emergency response procedures
Collaboration with other departments to ensure the highest security levels are in production
Assisting with Safe and Secure training and cover where necessary
Perform ad hoc duties as directed
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
A valid UK Driving License - desirable
A valid First-Aid qualification - essential
Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels
Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure
Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards and SC clearance standards
