Job Description:

We are looking for a committed enabler to support a woman who lives in the Morpeth area to access the local community and other sociable activities. The woman lives at home with her family but is looking for somebody to support her independence and develop her social calendar. The client has a diagnosis of Huntington's disease and requires an individual with experience of supporting clients with long-term medical conditions.

Job Responsibility:

Support a woman to access the local community and other sociable activities
Support her independence and develop her social calendar
Supporting the client fully when in her wheelchair
Supporting with all transfers as appropriate including lifting the wheelchair in and out of car
Medication administration
Moving and handling
Safeguarding

Requirements:

Experience supporting clients with long-term medical conditions
Physically able to manage the physical requirements of the role
Must be able to drive
Full UK driving license
Can drive a motability equipped car
A full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate will be required

Nice to have:

Chatty, friendly nature
Energy to ‘get and go’ with a proactive outlook on life
