Job Description:

Female Health Care Assistant role providing support and care to elderly residents within nursing homes. The position offers long days, night (wakes) shifts and split shifts (AM/PM). On agency, you also have the opportunity to get involved with various clients including learning disabilities, hostels, homelessness, children and young people, mental health and more by encouraging people to live their lives to the fullest.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide support and care to elderly residents within nursing homes
  • Support elderly residents with their daily needs and maintain their safety and independence
  • Support elderly individuals with their mental health, dementia, learning disabilities and physical health
  • Provide personal care which may include bathing/showering, toileting, dressing
  • Use strong communication skills as some individuals may use non-verbal communication
  • Promote independence, aid to develop life skills and encourage individuals to get involved with a range of activities
  • Work as part of a team to provide the highest quality of care

Requirements:

  • 6 months UK based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
  • Willing to undertake personal care
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
