We have an exciting opportunity for a Feed Operations Technician to join our new state of the art remote operations centre based in our offices in Fort William. The upgraded WIFI and communication systems technology will allow us to feed our seawater farms remotely enabling us to optimise our feeding strategy. Each individual will be feeding multiple farms via a six screen workstation. The successful candidate will work a one week on/off shift pattern allowing for a great work-life balance.
Job Responsibility
Consistent communication and planning with the ROC/Farm Manager
Remote feeding of our seawater sites
Ensuring that daily routines and tasks are carried out in accordance with the SOP’s
Monitoring and reporting of daily production data
Monitoring feeding patterns and reporting any deviations to ROC Manager
Requirements
Previous experience in the aquaculture industry with an understanding of feeding practices is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
Previous experience using feeding systems is an advantage
Strong communication skills are required
Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Respect for the need for safe working practices
