Job Responsibility:
Unload bulk, liquid and micro ingredients from trucks and rail cars into proper storage area
Sample all ingredients before unloading
Check and verify lot numbers on micro ingredients before unloading
Keep related areas clean at all times
Make sure trucks are weighed in before unloading and weighed out prior to releasing
Record receiving on appropriate forms
Ensure samples are pulled off each ingredient and properly labeled
Inspect all incoming loads of ingredients to determine if company standards are met
Facilitate unloading by occasionally using a 15 lb. sledgehammer to remove ingredients
Make inventory checks on all raw material bins to be reported to appropriate supervisor
Direct all raw material to proper bins/tanks according to assigned receipt
Sweep and shovel receiving area between deliveries to maintain cleanliness and to avoid ingredient contamination
Assist with general mill housekeeping when time permits or assigned by Mill Manager
Manually operate rail car pullers in a safe manner
Assist in loading of feed trucks and feed manufacturing as needed
Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Reading, writing, and math skills
Must be able to swing 15 lb. sledgehammer
Must be able to climb heights to 120 feet
Must be able to operate a forklift
Must use required PPE when maneuvering on feed truck and rail cars
