Job Responsibility

  • Read and review bid and RFP documentation to understand project requirements thoroughly
  • Conduct site visits to gather necessary data for accurate estimates
  • Perform detailed takeoffs and develop reliable forecasts for project costs
  • Analyze sub/vendor quotes and conduct bid reviews to determine the best options for the project
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to upper management on project metrics and risk analysis

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a construction estimator, preferably in government projects
  • Proficient in construction estimating software such as Timberline, RSMEANS, or 4Clicks
  • Strong technical writing skills and experience in preparing work plans preferred
  • Excellent time-management abilities with proficiency in multitasking
  • BA in engineering, construction science, or a related field is a plus
  • Current/activatable clearance is an advantage
  • Ability to obtain a Federal security clearance is required
