Job Description

This internship is one of four unique opportunities that will be presented during the Amgen Internship Open Day. The student will support a strategic project: developing a quantitative decision-support model that evaluates distribution scenarios and supports the selection of the optimal FDP (Forward Distribution Point) model for the Nordics and Balkan regions. This assignment provides hands-on experience with real-world network modeling in a multinational environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Building a quantitative model to compare consignment vs. non‑consignment FDP setups
  • Conducting scenario analyses to assess regional distribution impacts
  • Evaluating cost, service level, and logistics implications
  • Supporting data-driven strategic recommendations
  • Contributing to a multi-site optimization initiative within a global biopharmaceutical supply chain

Requirements

  • Be a pre-final or final-year Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Supply Chain, Data Science, or related fields
  • Be proficient in English (verbal and written)
  • Have strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Be accurate, organized, responsible, and able to work independently
