The Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning (FCT&L) is looking for motivated students to join our team as a Student Ambassador. In this role you are an active partner in creating a vibrant, supportive educational environment for EKU. We offer flexible scheduling designed to work around your classes! Your day-to-day will involve ensuring our center is a warm, hospitable space for faculty and staff alongside hands-on experience with event logistics and programming setup. For students looking to prepare for graduate school or build a portfolio, there are also opportunities to engage in educational research projects and/or publications. If you are passionate about higher education, communications, marketing, or event planning, this role can be tailored to your goals.
Job Responsibility:
Space Support & Hospitality: Act as a welcoming face for the FCT&L. Ensure a warm, inviting space for faculty and staff by managing our coffee bar, guiding visitors to resources, and providing basic assistance with our video recording studio
Event Coordination: Help organize, market, and get hands-on experience with the setup and logistics of faculty development workshops and special campus events
Marketing & Communications: Build a professional portfolio by developing social media content, newsletters, and promotional materials
Research & Special Projects: Support active research projects or other projects/events within academic affairs
Requirements:
Must be enrolled at EKU and eligible for Institutional or Federal Work-Study (IWS/FWS) funding
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills
Nice to have:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
A genuine interest in supporting and advocating for the needs of students, faculty, and staff
