Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled Electrician to join our Whangārei team, supporting the maintenance and reliability of our electricity distribution network. In this hands-on role, you’ll use your electrical expertise to respond to faults, carry out repairs, and help restore power safely and efficiently. You’ll also be involved in switching, testing, and ensuring equipment is operating at its best.

Job Responsibility

Carrying out fault response, repairs, and network restoration
Performing switching, testing, and earthing activities (training provided if required)
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with regulations and standards
Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver reliable service
Providing a professional and customer-focused approach when working in the field
Participating in an after-hours standby roster (including evenings and weekends)

Requirements

Registered Electrician with at least 3–5 years’ experience
Interest or experience in fault-finding, maintenance, or network work
Switching experience (or willingness to learn)
Full driver’s licence
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
Willingness to be part of the standby roster
NZ work rights required
