Job Responsibility:

  • Scheduling poultry farm assurance inspections and supporting producers with compliance
  • Undertaking regular farm visits across the East of England and the Midlands
  • Supporting producers and aiding in the practical application of required standards
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current animal welfare legislation, production standards and systems of multiple poultry species
  • Ensuring producers are kept informed of, and are implementing, changes in policies, assurance standards and other requirements
  • Reviewing and updating company farming policies and procedures
  • Collating and reporting farm performance data according to customer requirements
  • Management of internal auditing system, ensuring conformance and driving continual improvement

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Good IT skills
  • Well organised
  • Previous hands-on experience in poultry production and management, or a similar role, is desirable
  • Full driving licence
