We are recruiting for a Farm Site Manager to join the Saltwater Team at Mowi Canada East Inc. on our remote farm sites in the Bay’s West area on the South Coast of Newfoundland. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to expand your career and want to work with a likeminded team, then this is the role for you! Anticipated start date for this position is April 2026. This is a permanent, full-time position and offers on site living accommodations with a shift schedule of two weeks on, two weeks off. Both internal and external candidates are encouraged to apply. Reporting to the Saltwater Area Manager, this role is a crucial part of our operations process and ensures the best management of our salmon in a sustainable and efficient way. In this role you will strive for continuous growth and take on all aspects of farm site work to keep the team on track and performing well.

Requirements:

  • Relevant post-secondary education or training
  • Experience within the Aquaculture industry
  • Leadership and project management experience
  • A positive attitude with excellent communications skills
  • Well-developed English verbal and written communication
  • Good computer and document management skills
  • Good critical thinking abilities, decision-making abilities and sound judgment
  • Organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet production demands
  • Respect for the need for safe working practices and animal welfare
  • Ability to work well with employees across the organization in a team orientated environment
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in challenging outdoor weather
  • Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
  • Willingness to participate in Mowi’s development and training opportunities
  • Ability to work a two week on, two week off shift and live on site in the company accommodation barges
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
