Job Description

As Farm Manager you will be responsible for all day to day running of all agricultural operations on the farm. The farm extends to 1050 Hectares of mixed Upland and Inbye grazing and arable concerns. With a current herd of 1,200 head of cross cattle and a herd of 300 Head of Pedigree Galloway Cattle.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for all day to day running of all agricultural operations on the farm
  • Work alongside our existing farm shops, Restaurants and food halls throughout Scotland and Northern England
  • Continue to maintain and expand supply of quality Pedigree Beef

Requirements

  • Responsible for all day to day running of all agricultural operations on the farm
  • Must be willing to take on all responsibilities of such an operation
  • Must have the appropriate skills for the management of our established team
  • Must show ambition
  • Must be enthusiastic and driven to maintain and improve our high standards
  • Requirement for excellent record keeping
  • A Health and Safety conscious approach is essential
  • A vision for future sustainable Farming practices is essential
  • A full clean UK drivers licence is essential
  • A Certificate of Competence for the Welfare of Animals (transport) order 2006 is desirable
