Job Description:

As Antech’s Farm Animal Medical Specialist, you will provide expert veterinary support and guidance to our large farm animal customers and colleagues, serving as a trusted resource for both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a strong background in large farm animal veterinary medicine, exceptional communication skills in both English and French, and a commitment to advancing animal health.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide technical consultations and diagnostic support directly to veterinarians who specialize in production animal medicine
  • Communicate complex diagnostic insights clearly and effectively, in both English and French, to a diverse customer base throughout Canada and US
  • Drive business development by identifying and engaging new customers within the production animal market, especially bovine and porcine
  • Support the sales, marketing, and customer service teams through training, joint customer visits, and case discussions
  • Collaborate closely with the laboratory operations and R&D teams to develop and adapt diagnostic profiles, reporting formats, and sample-collection strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
  • Monitor and report on market developments and competitive intelligence within the production animal sector
  • Partner with R&D teams to facilitate collection of relevant sample sets
  • Provide veterinary and scientific support to internal quality and regulatory teams
  • Create strong, collaborative relationships across all other Antech teams

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
  • At least five years’ experience in Farm Animal practice, academia, research or industry
  • At least seven years’ experience in the veterinary industry, preferably as Farm Animal PSV or equivalent role, research, and/or sales/account management
  • Must be bi-lingual English and French
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Nice to have:

  • Advanced qualification (e.g., specialist in Farm Animal medicine
  • MBA) preferred
