The Fares & Ticketing Consultant is responsible for providing expert support across airline fares, ticketing, reissues, and fare construction, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and commercial value. The role plays a critical part in supporting sales, service, and operational teams by resolving complex ticketing queries, minimising financial risk, and ensuring customers receive correct and compliant fare solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Provide expert advice on airline fares, fare rules, ticketing, exchanges, refunds, and reissues
Construct and validate complex fares, including published, negotiated, and promotional fares
Ensure all tickets are issued accurately and in line with airline, GDS, and BSP requirements
Handle ticket amendments, involuntary changes, cancellations, refunds, and ADM queries
Support sales and service teams with fare queries and problem resolution
Identify and mitigate ticketing errors and financial risk, taking corrective action where required
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline policies, fare changes, and industry regulations
Liaise with airlines, consolidators, and internal teams to resolve complex cases
Support audits and compliance checks, ensuring documentation and processes are followed
Contribute to continuous improvement of ticketing processes, tools, and ways of working
Share knowledge and best practice with colleagues, acting as a subject matter expert where required
Requirements:
Proven experience in airline fares and ticketing within a travel environment
Strong understanding of airline fare rules, ticketing procedures, and reissues/refunds
