Are you passionate about supporting children and strengthening family relationships? Do you want to play a vital role in helping families reconnect and thrive? We are recruiting multiple Family Time Workers to join a dedicated Children and Families team, delivering meaningful and therapeutic family time that has a lasting impact on children’s lives. About the Role As a Family Time Worker, you will coordinate and facilitate therapeutic family time sessions between children and their parents or wider family members, often within court-directed arrangements. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you’ll directly support children, empower parents, and help rebuild family relationships in a safe and structured environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate and arrange family time sessions in line with court directions
  • Facilitate therapeutic and supportive family time
  • Provide guidance and parenting support during sessions
  • Transport children and young people where required
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet family needs

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in working with children and families
  • Experience working with children, families, or carers (statutory or voluntary sector)
  • Strong understanding of child development, trauma, and safeguarding
  • Ability to build relationships and manage challenging or conflict situations
  • Good IT skills and record-keeping ability
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

  • Helps front line staff working with a resident to use frameworks to assess responsive behaviors, identify causes, formulate, and implement coordinated care plans and therapeutic interventions
  • Proactively identify training and education needs for the home and coordinates with the Director of Care and the Psychogeriatric Resource Consultants (PRC) to deliver capacity building supports
  • Provides coaching, mentoring, care planning and/or hands on care in the home within their scope of practice to assist in managing responsive behaviours
  • Identify the need and prepare for additional consultation and/or referrals to other services or specialties as required
