Job Responsibility:
Running a varied caseload of private family law work, including divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, and children matters
drafting and preparing legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
attending and representing clients at court hearings, undertaking advocacy
providing clear and practical legal advice to clients
liaising and building strong relationships with courts, barristers, social services, and other external agencies
working closely with colleagues for client-focused service delivery
contributing to business development activities.
Requirements:
Qualified solicitor or legal executive with experience in family law, ideally with exposure to both Legal Aid and private work
solid understanding of the Legal Aid framework, with experience using CCMS to manage and progress public-funded cases
strong drafting, communication, and client-handling skills, with a professional and empathetic manner
highly organised, with the ability to manage a busy caseload independently and prioritise competing demands effectively
team player with a proactive and collaborative attitude
advocacy experience is desirable but not essential
commitment to delivering exceptional client service and contributing to team success.
