Family Solicitor

• Running a varied caseload of private family law work, including divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, and children matters
• drafting and preparing legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
• attending and representing clients at court hearings, undertaking advocacy
• providing clear and practical legal advice to clients
• liaising and building strong relationships with courts, barristers, social services, and other external agencies
• working closely with colleagues for client-focused service delivery
• contributing to business development activities.

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive with experience in family law, ideally with exposure to both Legal Aid and private work
• solid understanding of the Legal Aid framework, with experience using CCMS to manage and progress public-funded cases
• strong drafting, communication, and client-handling skills, with a professional and empathetic manner
• highly organised, with the ability to manage a busy caseload independently and prioritise competing demands effectively
• team player with a proactive and collaborative attitude
• advocacy experience is desirable but not essential
• commitment to delivering exceptional client service and contributing to team success.
