Job Description:

A leading Legal 500 firm based in London is seeking a dedicated Family Solicitor to join their highly regarded team. This is a standout opportunity for a Family Solicitor to work within a firm known for its specialist expertise in public and private law children matters, domestic abuse cases, and complex legal aid work. The successful Family Solicitor will be joining a busy department with a varied caseload covering care proceedings, child arrangement orders, divorce, financial disputes, and emergency injunctions. This role is ideal for a Family Solicitor looking to develop their career in a well-established and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage their own caseload of both publicly and privately funded matters, including complex children law and domestic abuse cases
Carry out your own advocacy where appropriate
Work closely with vulnerable clients, offering practical and sensitive legal advice
Regular court attendance, case preparation, and close collaboration with barristers and external agencies

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor with 1-3 years’ PQE in family law
Experience handling legal aid matters, including CCMS applications
Strong advocacy skills and confidence managing your own cases
Knowledge of public law proceedings, child protection, and injunctions
Law Society Family or Children Panel membership (or working towards it) preferred
