Gillespie Recruitment is working with an established law firm to recruit a Family Solicitor / Legal Executive – Care Proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded family law team handling a varied caseload of public and private law matters. This role would suit someone confident, compassionate and motivated, with strong advocacy skills and experience managing care proceedings independently.
Job Responsibility:
Managing a varied caseload of family care matters
Representing clients in public and private law proceedings
Advising parents, children and guardians in care proceedings
Preparing legal documentation, statements and applications
Conducting advocacy where appropriate
Liaising with social workers, guardians, courts and third parties
Maintaining accurate case records and compliance standards
Providing high levels of client care and clear legal advice
Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Requirements:
5 years PQE in Family Law
Membership of the Law Society Children Panel
Experience handling care proceedings independently
Strong knowledge of public and private family law
Excellent communication and advocacy skills
Ability to manage sensitive and complex cases
A compassionate and client-focused approach
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
