Job Description:

We are seeking a Family Services Support professional to join a well-established nonprofit organization supporting families and early childhood programs. This is a 4–6 month contract opportunity with potential for long-term conversion, offering hands-on experience working directly with families in a community-focused environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct family needs assessments and recommend appropriate supportive services
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and local resources
  • Connect families to services including health, nutrition, mental health, employment, and social services
  • Support families in crisis by coordinating emergency resources and referrals
  • Assist with recruitment and enrollment into program services
  • Conduct home visits to follow up on referrals and support family goals
  • Serve as a point of contact for families, providing ongoing support and advocacy
  • Coordinate with community partners to expand access to job readiness and training opportunities
  • Support transitions for families entering or exiting early childhood programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with program guidelines

Requirements:

  • Experience in community outreach, social services, healthcare, or family support roles
  • Experience with case management, referrals, or client coordination strongly preferred
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Liberal Studies, or related field required
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
