We are seeking a Family Services Support professional to join a well-established nonprofit organization supporting families and early childhood programs. This is a 4–6 month contract opportunity with potential for long-term conversion, offering hands-on experience working directly with families in a community-focused environment.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct family needs assessments and recommend appropriate supportive services
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and local resources
Connect families to services including health, nutrition, mental health, employment, and social services
Support families in crisis by coordinating emergency resources and referrals
Assist with recruitment and enrollment into program services
Conduct home visits to follow up on referrals and support family goals
Serve as a point of contact for families, providing ongoing support and advocacy
Coordinate with community partners to expand access to job readiness and training opportunities
Support transitions for families entering or exiting early childhood programs
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with program guidelines
Requirements:
Experience in community outreach, social services, healthcare, or family support roles
Experience with case management, referrals, or client coordination strongly preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Liberal Studies, or related field required
Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
