Job Description:

This clinical rotation prepares Family Nurse Practitioner students for ambulatory care settings. MinuteClinic accomplishes this goal by not only meeting the academic standards of the school, but by providing students with a well-rounded experience that includes specialized online training, patient interaction, visibility to our EMR and the opportunity to work in a new and exciting model of health care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare for ambulatory care settings
  • gain exposure in an ambulatory care setting
  • develop an understanding of clinic operations, public relations, marketing, insurance procedures, and use of evidence-based guidelines

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Family Nurse Practitioner program with an executed Affiliation Agreement with MinuteClinic
  • FNP students must have an RN license in the state in which they will be precepting
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (at least one shot prior to the first day of clinicals)

  • Provide emergency medical treatment to WFH patients as needed, and provide emergency medical treatment as requested or appropriate to non-WFH patients who are at or near a location where the physician is present for the purpose of providing services to WFH patients
