We are now looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team in our London office, the working hours are Monday – Friday 9.30am – 5.30pm, hybrid working with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. As a Legal Assistant you be supporting the Supervising Solicitor with the initial client contact and legal aid application processing along with drafting client care letters.
Job Responsibility
Initial contact with client to discuss means and merits process
Completing legal aid application forms and submitting through the CCMS portal
Contacting courts and 3rd parties
Compiling court bundles
Drafting client care letters
Requirements
You must have a law degree or equivalent
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of legal aid applications and CCMS / Legal Aid portal
Ability to manage demanding and conflicting caseloads
