Job Description

A well-established San Francisco–based law firm is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to support its active family law practice. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a paralegal with experience assisting attorneys on family law matters in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The role offers substantive responsibility, direct attorney support, and the potential for long-term placement.

Job Responsibility

Support attorneys with family law matters including dissolution, custody, support, and related proceedings
Draft pleadings, declarations, discovery responses, and settlement documents
Prepare and organize financial disclosures and supporting documentation
Manage case files, calendars, and court deadlines
Coordinate service of process, filings, and court appearances
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel

Requirements

Paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Familiarity with California family law procedures and court filings
Comfortable working on-site in San Francisco five days per week

Nice to have

Prior family law paralegal experience
