A highly regarded, boutique litigation practice is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to join its sophisticated and client-focused team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to support financially complex family law matters, collaborate with attorneys and outside experts, and play a key role in case strategy and execution.
Job Responsibility
Support attorneys in managing a caseload of complex family law matters from inception through resolution
Prepare financial affidavits, mandatory disclosures, and prenuptial-related financial documentation
Conduct and manage discovery, including drafting and responding to requests and tracking compliance
Perform detailed financial analysis, including tracing assets, reviewing tax returns, etc.
Calculate child support and alimony guidelines using appropriate software
Coordinate with forensic accountants and other experts as needed
Prepare deposition, mediation, and trial materials (exhibits, binders, summaries)
Maintain and organize case files, discovery, and reference materials
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filings and compliance
Conduct legal and financial research
Requirements
Prior experience in high-net-worth family law litigation required
Strong exposure to financial-heavy matters (high-asset cases preferred)
Ability to read and interpret personal and business tax returns
Experience preparing financial affidavits and supporting documents (Excel-based)
Proven ability to manage discovery and large volumes of financial data
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skill set
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
At least 3 years of paralegal experience, with direct involvement in family law litigation matters
Background supporting high-net-worth or financially complex domestic relations cases
Ability to analyze personal and business tax returns and work confidently with detailed financial records
Experience preparing financial affidavits and related supporting schedules, including spreadsheet-based documentation
Demonstrated success handling discovery and organizing large volumes of case and financial information
Proficiency with litigation support tools and case management software
Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
