Job Responsibility:
Draft, proofread, and prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery, settlement agreements, and court forms
Manage electronic and physical case files with accuracy and care
Assist attorneys with hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation
Conduct family law research to support case strategy
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties
Track deadlines, maintain calendars, and coordinate scheduling
Collect and organize financial, medical, and personal documents
Handle e‑filings and traditional court filings across South Carolina
Maintain strict confidentiality and provide empathetic support to clients
Provide additional administrative and case‑related assistance as needed
Requirements:
3+ years of family law paralegal experience (preferred)
Knowledge of South Carolina family court procedures and filing systems
Strong legal drafting skills and proficiency with case management software + Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Compassionate, professional demeanor—even in emotionally charged situations
Paralegal certification or associate degree preferred (experience considered)
