Job Description

Regional law firm in San Jose, CA is seeking a Family Law Attorney with 4–7 years of experience to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law matters, excellent advocacy skills, and the ability to manage cases independently while providing high-quality client service. This position requires on-site work in San Jose, CA.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle a variety of family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and property division
  • Manage cases from intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial preparation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, declarations, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
  • Advise clients on legal strategy, case developments, and potential outcomes
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings
  • Collaborate with support staff and attorneys to ensure efficient case management

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree and active California Bar membership
  • 4–7 years of family law experience preferred
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and client counseling skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work on-site in San Jose
