Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Community Advice and Support Team for a Family Intervention Worker. We want to empower families with multiple and complex needs to achieve better outcomes and prevent the escalation of issues they face. Intensive Family Support, which incorporates the Government’s Troubled Families initiative, provides a safe and effective multi-agency service, which responds quickly and intensively to families’ needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for a caseload of families delivering 1-1 and group based interventions in partnership with other agencies
  • Work directly with clients to influence and enable improvements in their lives

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working intensively and assessing families from a range of backgrounds and disciplines
  • Multi-agency working
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilience and good judgement
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Ability to deal calmly and confidently with emotional situations
  • Ability to understand the needs and perceptions of residents
  • Full UK driving licence (with access to own vehicle) is desirable
