Job Description:

Hertfordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Intervention Worker to join the Intensive Family Support Team. This role focuses on working with families facing multiple and complex challenges, helping to improve outcomes and prevent the escalation of issues. You will deliver a responsive, intensive, and supportive service, working closely with families to empower them to make sustainable changes. The role operates within a multi-agency framework aligned with the Thriving Families approach, ensuring coordinated and effective support.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Family Intervention Worker or in a similar role
  • Strong background in children and families services
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and family needs
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Resilient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle (essential due to travel across districts)
