Job Responsibility:
Lead and shape the Family Group Conferencing (FGC) Service
Champion the rights of children and families within the community
Lead the development and implementation of a new FGC offer in Slough
Oversee the recruitment and management of Family Group Conference Coordinators
Champion the principles of FGC within Children’s Services and across partnerships
Advocate for the meaningful involvement of families in decision-making processes
Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the FGC Service
Promote a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine the FGC offer in line with the needs of the community
Ensure the FGC offer aligns with best practices and statutory requirements
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker
Strong commitment to the rights of children and families
Deep understanding of the principles of Family Group Conferencing
Proven experience in leadership and service development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and build rapport with diverse stakeholders
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and family support services
