Job Responsibility

Manages the resources and daily activities of a nursing department while ensuring environmental factors support high standards of patient care
Assists in the training and development of new and existing staff members
Creates and maintains an environment that is conducive to learning transfer
Coordinates the activities of the unit for each shift and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff
Provides patient care as needed
Schedules nursing staff to specific shifts, taking into account past utilization trends
Measures employee performance

Job Responsibility

Provide safe, timely, high-quality care during the transport of all neonatal and pediatric patients, and patients determined by the transport medical directors needing transported by the team
Perform all duties stated in Registered Respiratory Therapist-Critical Care job description
Provide family-centered care to infants from birth to pediatric patients during inter-hospital transports
Initiate emergency protocols independently following ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE guidelines
Practice in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and standards of the hospital

Communicates effectively with team members
