A rare opportunity to drive positive outcomes for families in our regional communities! Location: Positions available in Albury, Deniliquin, Finley, Griffith and Leeton. Employment Type: Permanent Part-time and Full-time opportunities available. Award: The role is classified under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award Level 5. Starting Salary: $100,776 per year plus superannuation and access to salary packaging benefits. As a Families Together Practitioner, you will: Play a critical role in supporting vulnerable families to improve safety, stability, and wellbeing for children. Deliver relationship-based, trauma-informed, and evidence-informed interventions aimed at reducing the risk of significant harm. Partner with families to strengthen parent–child relationships, build parenting capacity, and address complex psychosocial challenges such as domestic and family violence, substance misuse, mental health concerns, and intergenerational trauma. Provide holistic case management across moderate to intensive support levels, working with families where children are at risk of harm or in out-of-home care, with a strong focus on safe restoration to parental care. About You: We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced professionals to deliver the Families Together program. To succeed in this role, you will bring: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, or a related field. Minimum 3+ years' demonstrated experience delivering case management services using strengths-based and trauma-informed practice frameworks. Experience delivering casework within Community Services, Child Protection, Health, Domestic Violence, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Housing, Education, or a related sector. Knowledge of best practice and evidence-based approaches in working with people who have experienced trauma, including building parenting capacity, reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect, and supporting child and youth development, mental health, and responses to domestic violence. Understanding of Mandatory Reporter obligations, with the ability to identify, assess, and respond appropriately to child safety concerns and risk of harm. Demonstrated ability to engage in reflective practice, including participation in individual and/or group supervision to inform practice decisions and support self-care. Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively to build and maintain strong relationships. Strong administrative and technical skills, including the ability to accurately document client interactions (e.g. case notes, assessments, case plans, reviews, and case studies) and proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems.
