We are currently seeking x2 Factory Trainers to join our Preston site - our primary Pork facility within the Hull and East Riding region. With significant ongoing investment and expansion, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, forward-thinking site with plenty of scope to contribute and develop. In this role, you will gain comprehensive experience across all aspects of Learning and Development at the Preston site. You will support training activities across multiple departments, applying your knowledge and experience where needed, and play a key role in delivering engaging inductions and onboarding programmes for new starters.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure Food Safety, Health & safety rules and regulations are always followed
Ensure that all employees are compliant to work in a food production environment by analysing skills gaps on the IT systems in place
Updating skills matrix and certification of training completed by all employees, ensuring that all information entered is correct
Working on a day-to-day basis on all four training systems to support Dept Managers/Trainers, HR and Training with a live training matrix to give a precise and up to date completion of Training
Identifying compliance skills gaps across site to ensure as an organisation we are compliant with customers (Audit ready)
Assume responsibility for the management of activities which ensure food safety, integrity, legality and quality
Attend required training in line with current legislation, Health and Safety guidelines and changing departmental operations
Book and manage internal/external training to meet business needs and development of employees
Identify and analyse learning needs: establish team and individual capability and learning gaps, in line with organisational performance outcomes and to enable effective evaluation
Use sound questioning and active listening skills to understand requirements and establish root causes i.e. establishing that it really is a learning/training need, before developing L&D solutions
Design, construct and structure training / learning resources to meet a variety of needs, which will include: Research of delivery options and resources including digital / online / blended solutions (including identifying existing resources)
Evaluate the impact of learning solutions - measure and assess development initiatives for effectiveness, business relevance, efficiency, and continually seek ways to improve learning solutions
Consistently support colleagues / collaborate within the team and L&D to achieve results
Requirements:
Experience in a similar role: Factory/Warehouse trainer, Training Coordinator
Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably food related)
Food Safety knowledge
Strong level of IT skills: Excel, Word etc
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
