Job Description

Located in North America’s wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late ‘90s and as the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages, and ships several varieties of our Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle® brands. As the Factory Quality Technician, you’ll perform multiple chemical tests of finished product samples and escalate tests when needed. Ensure all non-conforming finished product are placed on quality hold to prevent shipment to our consumers and help uphold quality throughout our processes. You’ll also oversee the raw material coverage during periods where an ingredient specialist is not available.

  • Assist in preparation for compliance audits while always following laboratory practices and lab safety manual guidelines

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years' experience working in a quality, food, production, military or related environment
