Job Description

As a Factory Project Engineer, you will provide technical leadership by identifying, developing, and executing capital projects that support factory operations. You will maintain end to end visibility into the design process, ensuring adherence to established project standards, key components, and deliverables. You will directly manage overall project execution, including construction and commissioning activities, while coordinating closely with internal teams, external partners, and client stakeholders. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering projects safely, on time, and within scope, while ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide technical leadership by identifying, developing, and executing capital projects that support factory operations
  • Maintain end to end visibility into the design process, ensuring adherence to established project standards, key components, and deliverables
  • Directly manage overall project execution, including construction and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams, external partners, and client stakeholders
  • Deliver projects safely, on time, and within scope, while ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives
  • Preliminary Project Development including Charter development - 20%
  • Project Execution support and facilitation - 45%
  • Administrative / Business support- 15%
  • Safety - 10%
  • Other - 10%

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably (Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Ability to use problem solving techniques to resolve issues and implement change
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to complete major projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to schedule resources effectively so continuous improvement is not sacrificed for day-to-day results
  • Additional consideration for those that are considered subject matter experts in a particular field of engineering (process, packaging, refrigeration, etc.)
