Factory Operative

• Preparing and cutting to specification drawings of solid timber from raw boards for various products
• Finishing and ensuring quality control of all products ready for spraying
• Working to complete production processes to deliver industry leading standards in quality and performance whilst adhering to health & safety regulations
• Helping make sure that stock rotation and levels are kept up to agreed levels
• Communicating daily process performance information for the Production/Delivery Team Leader
• Communicating daily requirements and performance targets with regards to department schedules
• Acting as a cooperative and supportive team member
• Promoting an open and effective working relationship with all colleagues and 3rd parties
• Assisting with promoting our Coffin Factory within the local community
• Ensuring machinery and premises are always kept clean and tidy
• Carrying out any other duties as required

• Previous experience of working in a factory environment
• Flexibility in working time patterns
• Previous experience with table saws, mitre saws, hand tools, pin routers and spindle moulders is desirable
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• Customer focused
• Good team player
• Willing to learn new skills
