Job Description

As the Factory Engineering Manager for our Allentown factory, you’ll support, lead and develop a team of engineers who oversee mechanical, electrical, industrial, environmental and safety system operations. You’ll be responsible for the strategic vision, budget and execution of plant capital projects while coordinating with maintenance and production to resolve plant operational concerns and identify opportunities for continuously improving processes, safety, quality and efficiency. In this factory leadership role, you’ll proactively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results.

Job Responsibility

  • Apply expert understanding of factory operations to effectively engage, leverage and develop engineering personnel
  • Create and strategically apply the annual capital budget to address equipment maintenance and facility improvements
  • Manage cost, schedule, performance and safety pertaining to engineering staff and capital project execution
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance management team to develop standards, train personnel and incorporate innovations to increase factory efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Oversee external contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including safety, quality and value of deliverables
  • Partner with operations leaders to identify areas of opportunity to improve integrated manufacturing processes
  • Champion total productive maintenance (TPM) through management, problem solving and project implementation
  • Master plant process flows, utility flows, capacities, practices and procedures to ensure factory energy efficiency, environmental prioritization and compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive engineering experience, including project management and people leadership within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
