Ready to roll up your sleeves and be part of something big? Step into the role of Factory Assistant and get hands-on with powerful machinery, support critical plant operations, and play a key role in keeping everything moving. In the fast-paced world of the sugar industry, no two days are ever the same—this is where action meets opportunity. This is a permanent position in our sugar processing factory which requires shift work during the crushing season (June - December), including weekends and overtime and day work during the maintenance period (Jan - May).

Job Responsibility:

  • Master the start-up and shutdown operation of shredders which are driven by steam turbines
  • Operate mobile equipment to tackle product spills, re-rail bins, and handle a variety of other tasks
  • Support the team by helping with the start-up and shutdown of the Milling Train
  • Clean and lubricate key equipment like spotters, carriers, pinions and juice heaters to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Work alongside skilled shift tradespeople, providing hands-on support

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity communicating via UHF
