Job Description:

The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of physical security across ten operational pharmacy and administrative sites around the country. This role ensures the protection of personnel, assets, and facilities through effective design, maintenance, and oversight of security systems, including intrusion alarms, surveillance cameras, access control, and emergency response procedures. The manager establishes standardized security practices and leads regular security audits to maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. This role must work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the company, including site leadership, compliance and regulatory departments, information technology professionals, and peers within the facilities management organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • System Lifecycle Management: Oversee the planning, installation, and maintenance of intrusion detection, video coverage, and electronic access control systems
  • Access Control & Badge Production: Manage initial physical badge production as well as replacement badges
  • Security Risk & Compliance Monitoring: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across all locations. Ensure video coverage is maintained per Facility Security SOPs
  • Standardized SOP Development: Implement and enforce Security SOPs for site entry, incident reporting, and emergency response. Ensure the burglary system utilizes individual, trackable user codes to tie arm/disarm events to specific personnel
  • Audit & Quality Assurance: Lead regular audits to verify access levels match job roles, terminated staff are deactivated, and video retention meets policy. Document quarterly testing of alarm points, sirens, and monitoring response
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a primary owner of the Security Program, collaborating with Facilities, IT, HR/PBP, and Site Management to approve changes and review incidents. Coordinate with IT to ensure all access configuration changes are documented via the IT change request system
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into security breaches or security equipment failures. Manage requests for footage during incidents (e.g., suspected diversion or theft), ensuring IT secures copies while Compliance/QA oversees the investigation
  • Emergency Response Coverage: Develop and lead a 24/7 incident response framework that includes designing emergency action plans, serving as the primary command lead during crises, and conducting high-level forensic investigations and root-cause analyses across all ten sites
  • Vendor & Network Coordination: Manage relationships with 3rd-party monitoring services to ensure 24/7 coverage and adherence to alarm dispatch workflows. Partner with IT to support network-connected intrusion devices and secure connectivity
  • Training & Awareness: Provide role-specific security training, including badge handling for Site Management and lifecycle data notifications for HR
  • On site security: Oversee on-site security operations by managing Scope of Work (SOW) compliance and conducting audits evaluating effectiveness and adherence to SOPs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate, industrial, or multi-site physical security management
  • Strong knowledge of intrusion detection, CCTV, and access control technologies (e.g., Avigilon, Lenel, Genetec, Brivo)
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (OSHA, DHS, NFPA, UL 2050, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, budgets, and cross-functional projects
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
What we offer:
