Job Description

Banner Defense is looking for a Ground-based Midcourse Defense System Facility Requirements Analyst to join our Systems Engineering support team to the Missile Defense Agency Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Product Office. In this role you will support the GMD Architecture and Requirements team under the GM Chief Systems Engineer. This position is part of a Federal Solutions team providing Systems Engineering Technical Assistance to the Ground-based Midcourse Dense (GMD) Product Office under the Teams-Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering (TN-MDSE) contract managed by the Missile Defense Agency.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the government with GMD Element Specification requirement updates and verification industry provided evidence requirements will be achieved
  • Interpret and decompose DOD requirements and specifications, and ensure all proposed and accepted requirements align with applicable DOD regulations and MDA standards
  • Review architectural and engineering design submittals (35%, 65%, 95% Design Reviews) to verify technical and functional requirements are met
  • Perform Trade Studies and Requirements analysis to align facility requirements across integrated system architectures and across multiple GMD facility contracts

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years relevant experience with Department of Defense Systems Engineering principles and processes
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience with Facilities, System Requirements, and Requirement Verification
  • Relevant experience interpreting and decomposing military standards such as Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), MILI-SPECs, and other relevant DOD requirement standards, and verifying proposed requirements are fully compliant with established DOD standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience documenting and conveying detailed technical information

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM desired
  • Familiarity with the MDA Systems Engineering processes and Requirement management and verification tools
  • Familiarity with the Ground-based Midcourse Defense technical architecture and capabilities
  • Prior MDA Systems Engineering experience highly desired

  • Act as the primary operational point of contact with BNP Paribas
  • Write process notes for key Treasury and Receivables tasks
  • Assist with other Cash & Banking, Cashflow, and Treasury processes as required
  • Work closely with the Sales Ledger team to ensure customer payments are accurately and swiftly allocated against specific invoices on customer accounts
  • Post accurate double-entry journals relating to the facility (advances, customer receipts, and finance charges/fees)
  • Own the month-end balance sheet reconciliation for the BNP Facility Liability account and the Accounts Receivable ledger
  • Ensure all accounting treatments comply with IFRS 9 / local GAAP regarding the non-derecognition of factored assets
  • Prepare month-end reporting on facility usage, effective interest rates, and debtor days (DSO)
