The Facilities Manager is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of facility-related activities. This role involves strategic planning, financial oversight, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The Facilities Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while supporting the organization's long-term goals.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and lead a diverse team, including Plant Engineering Manager, Accounts Manager, HSEQ Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Projects and Maintenance Engineers, Technicians, Plant men, Auxiliary team, and Contract workers
Conduct performance planning, goal setting, and evaluations of employees
Develop and implement long-term facility management strategies aligned with the organization’s vision, goals, and budget
Forecast future facility needs and develop capital investment
Manage facility budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Manage improvement proposals
Oversee the day-to-day operations of all facility-related activities
Strategize operations to ensure the safe receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products
Oversee maintenance management, repairs, and emergency response activities
Promote a strong safety culture among facilities team and contractors
Conduct inspections and audits of facilities procedures and physical environment
Participate in project teams and steering committees
Implement proactive solutions through the analysis of trends and weaknesses within the organization
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
Oversee and assess security systems and protocols for the facility
Prepare reports on facility performance, budget status, and project progress as requested by Joint Venture participants
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial) or equivalent qualifications
10 years’ experience in senior leadership role in the oil and gas industry, preferably in terminal management
In-depth knowledge, training, or certifications in industry standards (e.g., PMP, API, NFPA, JIG) 21
Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Knowledge in Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental protection
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and relevant facility management software
