Job Responsibility
Plan, prepare and execute mechanical repairs in both the West McArthur River Unit (WMRU) and Kustatan Production Facility (KPF) and rolling stock fleets
Operate, troubleshoot, test, and perform mechanical repairs or maintenance tasks on production equipment, heavy equipment, all rolling stock, etc. in a safe, economic, and environmentally sound manner without supervision
Work closely with operations team, instrument techs and electricians on a variety of maintenance projects at the WMRU and KPF locations
Perform routine PM work on all equipment and maintain equipment readiness
Perform roll over PMs on pumps and equipment in standby
Identify opportunities for improvements in production equipment and communicates solutions to the Lead Operator
Participate in facility and/or drill site modifications and special projects as needed or perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Operator
Assist in the resolution of technical problems and safety issues
Maintain operational accountability and keep the KPF and WMRU Operators and Lead Operator updated on the operational status of the assigned area
Notify Lead Operator of complex maintenance issues that require corrective action
Communicate daily operational goals and needs effectively to operations personnel and Lead Operator
Report all spills, near misses, injuries, and property damage to the Lead Operator
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years’ experience with facility maintenance in the oil and gas industry
Ability to work a 2-week on and 2-week off schedule in a remote field
Meeting and keeping current with required operator certifications, regulatory training and compliance requirements
Maintain an excellent personal safety and environmental record
