Job Responsibility:
Oversee and coordinate the operations of multiple facilities maintenance disciplines, including electricians, HVAC, general maintenance, plumbing, Building Management Systems (BMS), LIS, asset management, Reliability, planning/scheduling, vendor management, and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO)
Oversee the operation and maintenance of steam turbines, gas turbines, and large industrial boilers to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Manage high-voltage electrical distribution systems, ensuring safe and efficient power delivery
Monitor and analyze plant performance metrics, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for turbines, boilers, electrical distribution and ancillary systems
Ensure proper operation of reverse osmosis, deionization, and wastewater treatment systems to support boiler feedwater and cooling tower requirements
Maintain reliable operation of compressors and air dryers for instrumentation and process needs
Manage cooling towers, chillers, and associated heat exchangers to support plant processes
Oversee and manage the operation and maintenance programs of a large Chilled water plant with up to 30,000 tons of cooling capacity
Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule outages and repairs, minimizing operational disruptions
Understanding the site's safe work requirements and ensuring work is performed in accordance with safety procedures
Coordinate cross-functional activities to align with organizational priorities and minimize downtime
Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
Manage inventory, procurement, and distribution of MRO supplies and spare parts
Implement strategies to optimize MRO processes, reduce costs, and ensure availability of critical materials
Monitor and track MRO performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Track and report on asset performance, lifecycle costs, and reliability metrics
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations
Promote a culture of safety by enforcing protocols, conducting training, and performing regular audits
Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, permits, and compliance records
Foster collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance culture
Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and identify training needs
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program performance, budgets, and key metrics
Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities, reliability trends, and vendor performance
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners
Create an inclusive, high-performance work environment through strong leadership
Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure work activities exceed customer’s expectations
Promote employee career development plans and providing mentorship
Initiate and communicate a variety of personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and scheduling and/or approving overtime
Oversee employees on-boarding and supporting the hiring process
Create and maintain a succession plan
Maintain consistent communication with management and client on key issues, potential client issues, approach to resolutions, and quickly addressing any issues with an action plan
Support and/or conduct formal presentations to clients and management
Establish an organizational structure that ensures the most efficient utilization of resources while fulfilling the contractual requirements
Ensure 24 x 7 operational availability of critical facility systems
Identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyzing the issues using all appropriate resources, developing alternatives, and arriving at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities
Oversee implementation of planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance programs
Ensure workload is effectively prioritized, assigned, tracked, and executed
Ensure workflows are defined, implemented, and effective
Ensure predictive technologies are effectively used and results are used to drive Reliability Center Maintenance
Ensure plans are aggressively monitored and requirements are enforced
Anticipate operation’s needs and provide direction
Manage performance and progress against the plan and ensuring accurate forecasts with commensurate action plans
Track and report status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics on a routine basis
Implement corrective measures when measures are outside service levels or bandwidths

Meet or exceed KPI's
Provide accurate monthly forecasts of cost, schedule, and resource utilization
Manage multiple subcontractors supporting the operations and maintenance functions
Work with Business Development to increase scope of services on existing contracts
Support BD and Group management in Contract negotiations with customers
Establish annual operating budgets in cooperation with customer, business manager or group financial department
Develop detailed budget with labor, materials, and subcontract costs identified by month for project
Control costs by planning work, effectively using resources, and executing to budget
Identify and implement cost savings initiatives in all areas of the project

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facility/ Management, Maintenance Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience in process or production maintenance - OR - 8 years of experience in industrial facilities or production maintenance related work
5 years of progressive career experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research & development facility maintenance
Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance systems
Familiarity with BMS software (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls) and LIS standards
Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and data analytics tools
Understanding of reliability engineering principles (e.g., RCM, predictive maintenance)
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators
Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location
Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen
Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line
Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location

Strong knowledge of power generation equipment, including turbine and boiler operations
Familiarity with high-voltage electrical systems (e.g., 13.8 kV and above) and associated safety protocols
Proficiency in distributed control systems (DCS), SCADA, and other plant control technologies
7-10 years of experience in utilities plant operations, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role
Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses
Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams
Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
EAMS experience is a plus
Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
