Join our dynamic facilities team in Oakridge, Tennessee, where you'll serve as the backbone of our operations, ensuring world-class building performance through expert maintenance and repair of critical systems. In this impactful role, you'll tackle diverse challenges ranging from strategic preventative maintenance to emergency response, while managing vendor relationships and inventory systems that keep our facilities running seamlessly and safely. Job Responsibility:
Master diverse building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, BAS, fire life safety, and lighting through hands-on maintenance, monitoring, and repairs
Lead preventative maintenance initiatives by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing critical equipment components to ensure optimal system performance
Serve as first responder to facility emergencies and service requests, providing immediate solutions and maintaining operational continuity
Execute electrical and mechanical repairs including lighting systems, ballasts, fixtures, motors, pumps, and plumbing infrastructure
Drive operational excellence through detailed maintenance reporting, precise record-keeping, and strategic equipment inventory management
Partner with vendors to optimize quality, pricing, and service delivery across all facility operations
Monitor system performance through regular equipment readings and proactive adjustments to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC
Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
Demonstrated ability to analyze system operations, diagnose problems, and implement effective corrective actions
Availability for on-call responsibilities including overnight and weekend emergency response
Previous experience working in a controlled access facility environment
