Facilities Technician

• Performs maintenance service and repairs of buildings, equipment and grounds
• Constructs and repairs various items (i.e.
• building woodwork, windows, ceiling tiles, walls/floors, cabinets, counter tops, doors, office furniture and chairs)
• Performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, overhaul and construction duties
• Performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs
• Inspects and performs repairs on Life Safety components (i.e.
• fire/smoke wall, doors, exit corridors, exit stairs, & chute doors)
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and meets all applicable codes

• Technical degree in a facilites related field is preferred
• One to two years general maintenance experience required
• Hospital facilities or healthcare construction experience, preferred
• Basic computer skills
• strong communication skills
• ability to read, write and speak English
• Valid driver's license required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Physical Requirement - Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
