Temporary Facilities Services Manager position supporting a dedicated charity committed to enhancing lives and creating opportunities for individuals with care and support needs. The role involves supporting daily operations and working in a fulfilling, meaningful workplace.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the current Facilities Manager in overseeing daily operations
  • Collaborate with various departments including Maintenance, Housekeeping, Administration, Transport, and Catering
  • Help manage accident reporting procedures and ensure all incidents are handled with care
  • Alleviate the Facilities Manager's workload, allowing them to focus on key projects

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in leading and coordinating multi-functional teams including maintenance, catering, transport, and administration
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety standards, facilities management regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Highly effective in organisation, communication, and team leadership
  • Adaptable and responsive to shifting priorities within dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Previous experience in regulated or care-oriented settings is advantageous

  • Proactively manage risks by conducting audits and coordinating with subcontractors, landlords, and regulatory bodies
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to a small team of technicians/operatives
  • Maintain full budgetary accountability, ensuring costs for equipment, payroll, materials, and subcontractors are controlled within agreed budgets
  • Represent the client in meetings, ensuring clear communication and professional conduct
  • Taking responsibility for the efficient operation of both critical and non-critical engineering services, PC-based systems, and the associated plant—ensuring 100% availability
  • Act as the key technical coordination point for day-to-day maintenance activities, working closely with site personnel, landlords, and service providers
