Job Description:

We are looking for a Facilities Service Technician to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will support the Facilities team by performing a variety of tasks, including configuring meeting spaces, managing office equipment, and maintaining drink and coffee machines. This is a long-term contract position that requires a proactive, team-oriented individual who is adaptable to dynamic tasks and processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set up and configure conference rooms and meeting spaces to meet specified requirements
  • Deliver, install, and maintain office equipment and furniture across various locations
  • Perform regular maintenance and servicing of drink and coffee machines throughout the facilities
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, departments, and external vendors to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide general facilities maintenance and repair services as needed
  • Assist with office relocations and furniture inventory management
  • Support archived records retention processes and run occasional outside errands
  • Adapt to evolving tasks and prioritize responsibilities as they arise
  • Follow safety protocols when lifting or exerting force on heavy objects, exceeding 50 pounds

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities service or maintenance
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and with external providers
  • Detail-oriented approach and excellent customer service skills for interacting with internal employees
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical capability to lift or exert force on objects weighing over 50 pounds
  • Experience with corporate maintenance and basic office equipment
  • Familiarity with conference room setup and cleanup procedures
  • Knowledge of furniture installation, maintenance, and inventory management
