Job Description

We are seeking a professional and service-driven Facilities & Security Support Officer to support operations within a British Red Cross building. This is a varied, hands-on role combining porter duties, cleaning, front of house services, security responsibilities and general building support. You will play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, presentation and smooth day-to-day operation of the site. As a visible presence within reception and communal areas, you will provide a professional welcome to staff, visitors, contractors and Red Cross training delegates, while maintaining access control and supporting security procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting room set-ups and furniture movements
  • Assisting with minor maintenance tasks and reporting defects
  • Maintaining communal areas to agreed cleaning standards
  • Monitoring consumables and site presentation
  • Supporting reception and issuing visitor and contractor passes
  • Patrolling and maintaining external areas
  • Assisting with ad-hoc operational requests
  • Acting as Fire Marshal for the building
  • Responding to incidents where required
  • Ensuring full adherence to safeguarding and health & safety standards

Requirements
