The Facilities Project Engineer is responsible for planning, construction, safety and maintenance of building infrastructure or manufacturing/production equipment and systems. May be responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation and enhancement of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Job Responsibility
Plan, coordinate, and execute facilities projects within agreed scope, budget, and timelines including refurbishments, equipment upgrades, building improvements, and infrastructure works
Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans
Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and risk assessments
Ensure all works comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and company policies
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrated experience managing small to medium facilities projects
Good knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (COSHH, NEBOSH, PUWER)
Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or other facilities management systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
