Job Description

The Facilities Project Engineer is responsible for planning, construction, safety and maintenance of building infrastructure or manufacturing/production equipment and systems. May be responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation and enhancement of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute facilities projects within agreed scope, budget, and timelines including refurbishments, equipment upgrades, building improvements, and infrastructure works
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and risk assessments
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and company policies

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience managing small to medium facilities projects
  • Good knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (COSHH, NEBOSH, PUWER)
  • Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or other facilities management systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

Nice to have

  • Project Management qualification (Prince2, Agile, PMP)
  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced Facilities Department
