The town of Avon is seeking applicants for the Facilities Manager position. The position will manage operations of facilities consisting of all town buildings (five) and DPW water stations (nine). The Facilities Manager plans, organizes, directs and controls all aspects of facility operations including building maintenance, plumbing, heating and cooling, electric, grounds and fields, capital projects, construction, alarms system, controls, and preventative maintenance.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
at least five years of responsible experience in the management of building operations/maintenance and construction
Experience in a municipal setting is also preferred
two years’ administrative and/supervisory experience
Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License
Possession of, or ability to obtain within six months of employment, Certified Facilities Manager certification, or registration as a Professional Engineer or Construction Manager desirable
